Speakers can stay attached or remove. It also has a cassette which I have tested on playback and works well. It is in very good cosmetic shape with no real issues.

I have not tested the recording function. It has an am and fm stereo tuning section which works well. Very nice ge portable unit. The unit plays well and sounds great.

With the speakers attached, it is 21 inches wide and 7. Fast forward, rewind and the counter all work. Antenna is complete, unbroken and the handles also in very good shape.
