This Sony boombox gets pretty loud and sounds good. The speakers are large but they're not sub woofer type deep bass. You can hear it further away because the speakers aren't super deep bass. I suspect the rubber belts are broken as is usual with a 30 year old boombox.
Takes 8 batteries. Neither of the cassette decks function correctly wide high about deep. The radio works great and leds on top work correctly also. The record button on cassette deck is missing.
I bought this off probably 10 years ago. Comes with a power cord. Some light scratches on the top. Its loud and the woofers are big enough if you want music outside to carry from a portable boombox.
Battery compartment is pretty clean. I have rarely used it because about 40 boomboxes and to sell some lessen my collection.
