Details:

Tape deck B plays tapes flawlessly. Came out of the original box after being scarcely used, HOWEVER, tape deck A does not work properly. Speakers sound great. Radio tuner works perfectly.

The spindles want to turn, but something is slowing them down. Everything else works perfectly. You can feel them trying though, and if you spin with your finger while FF or RW is pressed it will a bit. The spindles don't turn.
