Line-in works great. Didn't test phono-in setting. The other has dings in two places and is not straight. This ones had a rich life in NYC.
Who'd lug a record player around anyway. Theres other boomboxes for that. Fm am work great. It always is: so the battery compartment door.
Stereo reception also works well. The short wave bands are all static, but I don't think you'd get reception here NYC without an external antenna. Does not impact functionality. The good stuff:video demo link both decks work.
Didn't test the dubbing button. I will package the boombox properly with lots of padding on all corners. Reception appears very good.
You can keep it attached as in the pictures and video, but have to support with your hand if want open close. The tape drawer is missing. I have no idea what the edit button is supposed to do. I've become proficient at that, but you might not.
The VI meters and led all work are awesome to look at.
Selling for parts or not working because of its age. You can hook up your phone or whatever and play tunes that way. Power cord is included.
I have tested all the major functions and listed my findings below. One antenna misses the top. Didn't test that.
Record also works. Video link this iconic boombox is in working condition, but sold as-is given its age.
The mixing level knob is missing nicks, scratches, small bit of plastic missing near handle, dings. The feet have plastic corners broken off. I have rebelled the decks about 2 years ago, and used boombox occasionally since then.
