Cosmetically speaking, this boombox is in average condition showing signs of wear tear usage storage.
No real static when adjusting the volume. Headphone jack is working. Battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion. The speaker chrome surround does have light patina and spotting, not showing in photos due to glare but it is present.
Battery power has not been tested for functionality. Sound is incredible. Buttons, knobs and switches all present, some light pitting. Measures approx no cracks or breaks in any of the plastic, however random scratches scuffs are present, marks markings are present, there is some light damage to the upper edge of the right side speaker as shown in photos.
There are usually several shipping options prices so do on see details next to the shipping price on the listing above. Both interior tape deck compartments will need a proper deducting and cleaning along with update maintenance to the heads and rollers.
Eq is working, speaker led's are working, they are more active at high volume settings. Both tape decks are currently working, however sound occasionally cuts out or plays at a reduced volume on the right side speaker.
Balance dial is working, tuning dial is working, glows yellow and than changes to red once a station is received. Again, cosmetically speaking boombox is in average condition, glare in the pictures is probably making it look a bit better than it does, though still looks OK. Tape deck buttons showing flaking chrome paint on some, none are broken.
On both speaker wires, a bit of sheathing was coming loose so I used some electric tape to cover, plastic sheath is brittle is some areas and may eventually need rewiring. Happens with either deck. Antenna is complete with no damage, again chrome does have pitting. One of the posts on the side of the speaker that rests in place has broken, though no real effect on usage.
Phono untested. I was able to pull in a half dozen am stations and 2 sw stations. Echo jack untested. Up for sale 1 vintage Lasonic l 30k boombox portable radio stereo dual cassette deck.
As for functionality, the boombox is working, I can pull in about 5 times more fm stations than any digital receiver I have ever had. 25x7 Speakers and tweeters look good with no rips or tear, front grills are in good shape with no large dents denting.
Does not happen when in radio mode. She is not a beauty, she has some miles on her, I would rate her a solid 6 or better.
