Unit has a clean battery compartment and it works fine on batteries. Please see pics for more details as they are part of my. Unit works well but the cassette doesn't work properly.

It also works on 120 volts but needs a cord. I had it playing but wouldn't ff or Re so needs some work up for bid is a vintage Dayton am fm stereo cassette boombox radio. The cord is a standard that plugs in back of radio.

Radios cosmetic condition is very good.
