When it does happen, the cassette door will lock itself shut, none of functions work, and way to unlock - I figured out with some patience after shock wore off first time is hit ff then Re buttons multiple times, back forth, forth. Box comes with the original Toshiba bombeat RT-S93 cardboard packaging, power cord, c-30 cassette case, lr44 batteries for remote control - still sealed, instruction manual, warranted, price card, q-tips heads, all that shit. Up for sale is a vintage Toshiba bombeat RT-S93 boombox in excellent physical condition. Either way, after hitting one of those buttons, it'll do what its supposed to and then safe hit the play button, stop eject cassette. All that said, the only thing i've never tested since owning this box is record function.

I recommend playing the box often because its possible that inaction for long periods is why cassette deck locks. The very last thing to do in this situation is panic and rip door off. In that time, the spindles will move forwards and backwards incrementally like they wanna work.

Three things wrong with the box: it could take 5 minutes or 25 whatever. I'm not a fan of testing the record function on old logic controlled decks, especially now after deck locked up sharp GIF-787 I used to own. Japan offer maybe about 8 years ago and it came fully loaded. Everything else works fine.

The only thing cosmetically wrong with box is a mark on top left side above condenser mic. And its not a case of if it will happen, when. They should still be good as the ones in remote were bought at same time and work fine.
