Battery compartment requires 8 size batteries, batteries not included. This may or not be the cause of malfunction with fast forward feature. Radio comes with power cord. Tape deck will only play in reverse mode and rewinds.

See pics for detail. Right side speaker has a corner impacted the left minimal wear on back. Original packaging and booklet's manual are not included.

The radio also has a removable handle. Another great feature of this portable component system is the phono pre-amp. The amplifier in it is best I have yet to see any portable unit having an acoustic air suspension speaker system rated at 30 watts RMS per channel uses 2 hybrid incs whereas nearly all others use monolithic like BA,ha,la,Tad series of output which coupled detachable 3-way speakers that are wood en boxes. This old school boombox, ghetto blaster is a must have for the serious collector.

Radio is over 30 years old. The cassette deck is fantastic for a portable unit which features auto reverse, blank skip, Dolby system, cro2 and metal compatibility with full logic control. This unit is solid and well built. Made in japan, circa 1986 radio powers on and functions including the spectrum analyzer equalizer.

This radio is being sold as-is. The system breaks down into four sections: speakers, tuner amplifier spectrum analyzer - graphic equalizer and cassette deck unit. Panasonic RX-C300-2 features a 2 band stereo tuner amplifier am, FM, mono stereo, FM muting, phono input, aux line out, spectrum analyzer graphic equalizer 5 Dolby system, single auto reverse logic controlled cassette deck with tape program sensor music search blank skip, record mute, standby, mixing level control and power battery light. Overall, this unit is in very good condition considering its age.

Up for your consideration is the extremely rare hard to find, Panasonic RX-C300-2 portable stereo component system with spectrum analyzer, graphic equalizer and Dolby. Speakers sound loud. I have included a pic that shows 1 of the gears, with teeth missing.
