The removable am-fm radio uses 3 AAA batteries. All controls and switches were carefully cleaned,no scratchy volume control. To keep shipping weight down, no batteries included, but there is an ac adapter and set of headphones included.
A few scratches and handling wear is evident see photos for best but as you can see, this little vintage 'boombox' in very nice, clean condition. Made in japan, it consists of a powered set stereo speakers with removable walkman am-fm radio. Both units work perfectly.
The base unit uses 4 cell batteries or an ac adapter. I do not charge a handling or material fee.
The cost of shipping is expensive enough and want to save you money. Lots of volume, this really sounds good using either the base unit speakers or headphones with removable radio.
The antenna is intact and in good working order,as original Sony strap.
