Amazingly, the boombox still has original removable factory installed protective film present on face plate and tape deck windows. Cassette playback is working properly via both decks, audio from decks sounds excellent. Not sure if the Technidyne were originally manufactured to have functional meters. I listened to multiple cassettes all the way through with no issue.
The rewind function works perfectly but I was unable to fast forward tapes on either deck. I'm not sure what the issue is exactly. The AM/FM radio playback sounds great, audio is very clear with limited static during tuning. The take up wheel spins perfectly when fast forwarding no tape is inserted but seems to struggle provide enough torque forward a cassette in place.
The meter does not appear to function, only the green lights glow when unit is outputting sound from any of inputs. For example the TD-1000 had a plastic sticker representing meter. Please refer to the listing images for details, Ships Safely Securely via UPS Ground with Signature required On Delivery, It is a bit dusty from sitting so long. Both antennas are in perfect condition.
The issue with the fast forward functionality could potentially be solved cleaning, not sure. The battery compartment is immaculate, the terminals are perfect with no signs of corrosion.
