If you know these radios exactly what part I am talking about aha. This would be normal service if the radio was taken to get restored. The ONLY cosmetic flaw is the right speaker grill pushed in just slightly. The second problem is a common with this model radio and its leaf spring contact switch for the cassette player almost happens to every BigBen at some point or any other.
I wan't able to take a good photo of the area but if your interested would be happy help you get info and sources needed fix it. Just trying to help be transparent so you know what your getting into. Very cool radio. I have the leaf and plastic component that will need to be glued back on reinstalled.
Now I pulled the back cover off to show that nothing leaked, marked, or damaged anything on internals, boards, radio and its case. The spring terminals for the batteries can be readily found and could replaced very easily without costing much. Up for offer is an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Sanyo BigBen MR-X20 vintage stereo. Only the MR-X20 is sold with steel mesh sub woofer cover and EVERYONE wants to have cool metal one instead of cloth.
However It is un restored and being sold as. Theres a few YouTube videos and bookmarked pages I have on the matter. This is the VERY RARE silver limited edition Japanese only model that was strictly sold in Japan 1981 1982. It should be as simple placing it back and securing.
The back cover is nearly perfect too besides the small staining inside battery door. I imported this one myself a couple years ago and honestly really don't want to sell as its my holy grail stereo but sadly have make some difficult decisions here.
