This Boombox is un restored and in need of some attention. However also keep in mind I have not thoroughly went through the radio and done anything besides a quick glance over for this listing. Yes there was some battery leakage it appears and has corroded the spring terminals. This is the same specs as Sanyo M9996 model that was known in States.

It powers on and you can hear static switches make sounds but not able to pick anything up. Again It is UNRESTORED and as. This is usually caused by the stereo thinking its stuck on cassette function switch and resolves once switches have been cleaned. I removed the back cover to show that there is no battery leakage or damage anywhere else.

It will need to be serviced I'm sure with new belts and switches cleaned at least. This is a beautiful radio that has styling only specific to the Japanese model's as American and Europe versions have different speaker grilles. When I first received it was able to listen the radio but have since not been as seems switches too much dirt or corrosion. Heres another domestic Japan only model Sanyo MR-X910 for offer.

These are known for being quite a good sounding stereo the size that they. Nothing on the boards or components of radio that I could see. I have not cleaned this one so it will look much better with a little work. Just trying to be honest about what I know here.

Otherwise this radio is in pretty good condition. This is sadly common to see but new spring terminals can be found and installed cheaply.
