All knobs and switches are intact work with not issues. Cleaned head and it improved but again tape is old. 1980Panasonic RX5250 boombox item is in used working condition. The 5250 has a dual VI meter, while 5150 just single meter.

Battery contacts are clean and no corrosion. I see no signs of it ever being opened or touched internally.

The 5250 also has Dolby, and a choice of manual or automatic recording levels. Power output is 7.

It shares the same dimensions and tape deck, but has different cosmetic trim controls. Unlike the north American versions, these versions have a 4-band tuner, fine tuning knob, and tuner light which is activated by button near tape counter. All features work on this radio. The power consists of two ROM ba532 chips.

Has a few marks and dings but for being over 30yrs old an electronic it is true survivor. Radio jams out in FM am. The European versions of this model are called rx-5250l, rx-5250ls, and rx-5250le. Door latches and locks perfectly, foam is old crumbling.

Handle is perfect shape and original cord in battery compartment. Item is as described. Tape player works but my 1992 damn ability sounds low. This tuner light is very dim, but you can replace it with an led.

The woofers are 3 ohm, diameter part ESS-16p151sp, and tweeters 5 watts per channel according to the service manual.
